Surf school

Learn to surf with confidence

Online courses and one-to-one coaching with an instructor who takes you from your first board to a wave you can ride.

How it works

1

Start with the fundamentals

Water safety, reading waves, and board handling on the beach — before you ever try to stand up.

2

Learn at your own pace

Online courses stay with you for months: watch a lesson before a session and come back to it whenever you need.

3

Feedback from your coach

Send footage from your sessions and get your technique broken down, with specific things to fix next.

Online courses

Video lessons you keep access to for months, not one evening.

Common questions

Do I need to be especially fit?

No. Ordinary mobility is enough. Surfing asks for stamina and balance rather than strength, and both develop through the lessons themselves.

I am not a strong swimmer. Is that a problem?

You do need to be comfortable in water. Early lessons happen where you can stand, and always within your coach's reach. If swimming itself is difficult, start with a few pool sessions first.

What should I bring?

Swimwear, a towel, water, and sunscreen. The board and wetsuit are included in the lesson.

What happens if the weather turns?

If conditions are unsafe the lesson is rescheduled at no extra cost. Your coach makes that call at the latest a few hours beforehand.

What age can you start?

Around eight, provided the child is a confident swimmer. Children's lessons are shorter and run at a different pace.
